We met via the online matrimonial site www.shaadi.com. After checking out each others' profiles in consultation with our respective parents and a few phone calls between them - we met for the first time at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib at New Delhi (Sept 13, 2008 - Saturday). We seem to hit it off instantly and continued talking for a bit long, much to our parents' amusement who had to remind us of the time. A poem dedicated to that first meeting ;- when I met her for the first time I knew she had to be mine her infectious smile drew me instantly she spoke the words, oh so lovely was attracted by her honest laughter felt I'd never met anyone better she was the girl of my dreams beautiful eyes - like river streams finally decided, that in this life only she could be my loving wife ! After positive reactions from both sides - the Saluja Family visited our place on Oct 5th, 2008 - Sunday for lunch. We also preferred to pay them a visit, which we did - and reached Bhopal on Oct 18, 2008 - Saturday. After a wonderful lunch at their place and a round of talks - the relationship was deemed as fixed and 'Roka Ceremony' was performed the same day at a Gurudwara. Sunday was the day for some site-seeing in Bhopal and we left for Delhi the same night after tentatively fixing the marriage programme & we finally got married on Jan 18, 2009 in New Delhi.
